Material X

Lucasfilm, Autodesk and the Foundry in collaboration around a way to distribute shading and networks between vfx programs and even vfx facilities. I hope it will help out when ingesting assets from other vendors. Today in film production we find ourselves sharing assets on a regular basis and we all have different pipelines, renderers and proprietary tools. A standard is needed for the VFX industry and I will definitely have my eyes on the Material X project in the future.
